Up to now, most hosting services, including us, have always offered precooked plans. Over the years, we received several requests of customers who, for example, are satisfied with their bandwidth use, but would like more disk space. Others who have a small, but very active site, were forced to upgrade to a more expensive plan, just for the bandwidth increase, while 90% of the new features were not even needed.
This got us thinking. Obviously, our customers would prefer to determine their needs and wants for themselves, so why should we not be able to be flexible, and accommodate everybody's wish?
Therefore, we have decided to completely overhaul our Hosting system. Instead of So Smart, So Brilliant and So Genius, from now on we will offer one Plan only: So Flexible. Within that plan, you can pick and choose your own ingredients - no more precooked anything! You can pick what you need, and you never pay too much.
So, what will this mean for you?
As you know, one of our strongest points is the fact we do not oversell. This means we do not offer unlimited anything. However, why should we confine the amount of your domains, databases, FTP accounts, mailing lists, etcetera to a randomly chosen number? From now on, your allocated space and your own wishes will be the limit. Need more databases than fit within your plan? Just upgrade your disk space, and continue to add on.
The base plan will offer the same 500 MB disk space, and 5 GB bandwidth for the new low price of only $9.99 per year. Yes, former So Smart users, that means that if you stay within your current plan, you will pay less than before, with many more features! No need to thank us, it's all in a day's work!
Additionally, you can choose to upgrade your disk space at any time, in 1 GB increments for only an additional $5 per GB per year, and separately, upgrade your bandwidth for $5 per 10 GB/y.
Our So Smart customers have already been upgraded automatically to benefit from the additional features, for less money (please make sure your next invoice will be $9.99).
We believe our new flexible plan is a perfect replacement for So Brilliant and So Genius. Therefore, we cordially invite you to compare the features you currently have, with the features you need. Additionally, you can try our new flexible plan for free until the end of this year, before you make the final decision. Until then, you will be able to switch back at any time you want.
You will never be forced to upgrade. If you are happy with your current plan, it is yours to keep! Please note, So Genius customers, that our So Flexible plan will not include a free domain name anymore, so please that into consideration before you decide to change.
