Why does Unlimited mean?

By popular demand, HostKitten offers a plan with "unlimited bandwidth" and "unlimited web space". Unlimited however does not mean the same as "infinite". Every computer or server on earth is limited by the size of its hard disc and the abilities of the Internet pipe line.

When web hosts provide "unlimited" space, they often have to restrict what you can use the disk space for, or throttle the traffic. We need to do this, because if every user really uses their "unlimited" space, we would have to spend an unlimited amount of money to buy an unlimited number of hard disks to provide space for them.

HostKitten's policy is "you get what you pay for". Since we have not yet beaten the quantum physics "infinite" barrier, we can offer no such thing. With our flexibla plan, whatever space and bandwidth is allocated to you, is yours to use and within those boundaries, you can set up as many sites, domains, databases, ftp accounts as you need.

With our Unlimited Plan, we have to be slightly more vague about what exactly you are getting... hence this disclaimer.
